What is Rolf Work / Structural Integration?
Rolf Method of Structural Integration (also known as Rolfing™ or SI) is a systematic process of unwinding the entire body’s myofascial tissue network (fascia), releasing old dysfunctional patterns and retraining mind and body through touch and movement education, to live in a newly aligned, integrated state.
The continuous pull of gravity, repetitive patterns and physical injuries can pull the body out of alignment causing the fascia to gradually shorten, tighten and finally, adjust to accommodate the misalignment. This chronic tension creates inefficiency and imbalance resulting in stiffness, chronic pain and loss of energy.
The Ten Series changes lives.
My Philosophy
I know that we can ease and overcome chronic pain, misalignment and many chronic conditions through intentioned touch, unconditional positive regard and Structural Integration, a brilliant systematic approach to body transformation. My goal is to support and facilitate your journey to wellness and alignment on a physical, psychological and environmental level. The Rolf Ten Series changes lives. I have seen it, experienced it and now I want to help you experience it as well.
"Rolfing can be like making your bed in the morning. You think you're going to get by without pulling that bed apart, so you pull up this cover and the next cover. When you get all the covers puffed up, you've got nine ridges running across the bed. Now you've got to go to a deeper layer and organize the deeper layer, and make your bed on top of that. Then you've got a made bed. Well it's the same with the body: you've got to organize those deeper layers."
